I envision legend’s creatures, the allure of myths and the appeal of magic. But He is stronger than a dragon’s grip and more powerful than a fairy’s spell. I imagine a mounted knight who would give his life for the promise of my heart. But He is more protecting than the errant and more passionate than a mortal’s caress. I can picture piles of treasure, deep cascades of jewels and seas of gold and silver. But He is more precious than tangible trinkets of a flawed and fallen world. I have day dreams of noble courts, elegant princesses and great, enchanted kingdoms. But He is higher than all earthly thrones and subject to no man. The illusionary world is pale and shadowy compared to reality. Because He is. My God. My Savior. My King.
